Planning & Process

What is the recommended timeframe for placing an order?

We recommend contacting us 4–5 months before you plan to send your cards. This allows enough time for design and printing.

Once all details are finalized, production takes about 8 weeks.

What is the detailed project workflow?

1–3 days

First, pick your favorite design suite and submit your request through our online form. Once we have your details—such as quantity and printing method—we will send you a custom quote within 1–3 business days.

To officially begin the process, we require a 50% deposit. Once the payment is received, we will send you a questionnaire regarding your invitation details.

Once we have all your information, we begin the design process. We take great pride in drafting every layout manually, ensuring no AI is utilized in the process. You will receive a digital PDF proof within two weeks for a comprehensive review.

After reviewing the initial draft, you may request changes. Two rounds of revisions for text and colors are included. Any additional work beyond these rounds will be billed at €120 per hour.

Upon final approval for printing, the remaining 50% balance is due. Once payment is received, production begins. Depending on the printing method, this stage takes approximately 2–4 weeks.

Once your suites are printed, we assemble everything carefully by hand. Each piece undergoes a strict quality check before we prepare it for shipping. This final stage takes approximately two weeks.

Within Germany 1–3 days, outside of Germany up to 2 weeks

Please note that shipping is free only within Germany. For international shipping to EU and non-EU countries, shipping fees apply. Please note that for deliveries outside the EU, additional customs duties or import taxes may be charged directly by your local authorities.

Can you mail the cards directly to our guests?

Yes, absolutely! We offer direct shipping to your guests. Please send us an email so we can discuss the details.

How long does the entire process take?

From order to dispatch, we calculate approximately 8 weeks (+/- two weeks). This timeline depends on us having all the necessary information. We still recommend planning in a generous buffer, just to be safe.

Do you provide an express service?

Yes, of course! We would be happy to discuss the terms for our express service with you. Please send us an email regarding this.

Design, Colors, Printing

What makes your designs unique?

At The Goodest Stationery Company, we pour our heart and soul into every single detail. Before a suite is perfect, we test all kinds of color palettes, paper formats, and type foundries. Each of our designers brings 20 years of design experience—and we guarantee that every suite is designed without the use of AI.

What printing methods do you offer?

You can choose between letterpress and hot foil (hot foil stamping). Both methods result in haptically luxurious and very high-quality end products.

What is letterpress?

Letterpress is rooted in the traditional Gutenberg style of printing. In this handcrafted process, every sheet of paper is handled individually. The design is pressed deep into soft (cotton) paper under high pressure, resulting in the characteristic indentation that is both visible and tactile.

What is hot foil?

In hot foil stamping, a colored metallic foil is permanently applied to the paper using heat and pressure. The result is an elegant, metallic shine with a slight indentation that looks particularly luxurious on matte papers.

What is blind debossing?

With blind embossing, the design is pressed deep into the paper to achieve a subtle debossing without using ink or foils. The outcome is an elegant, tactile finish that lends your cards a truly special and sophisticated touch.

What makes your paper so special?

We work with a curated selection of colored, uncoated papers that feel incredibly high-end. With 50 elegant shades, including four different tones of white alone, they are perfectly suited for letterpress, hot foil, and blind debossing. This creates a haptic quality that meets every possible expectation.

How many color options do you have?

We offer you a huge selection :)

Papier:
Over 50 different colors, from bright white to charcoal

Hotfoil:
Over 30 shiny and matte metallic shades

Letterpress:
Depending on the paper color (see restrictions in the next paragraph), almost all solid colors

Are there any technical limitations?

Yes, unfortunately not all combinations are possible. In letterpress, for example, the inks are not opaque on dark paper (the paper must be significantly lighter than the ink). Additionally, hot foil cannot be placed over a fold line, as the foil would crack.

We are happy to provide individual advice.

Is it possible to order a sample pack beforehand?

Yes! We highly recommend our sample kit. This allows you to check the feel and quality for yourself. You can find the link to the sample kit here. We will credit the cost toward your main order later.

How many rounds of revisions are included?

Standard service includes two correction loops. For each additional adjustment after the second round, we charge €120 per hour started.

Pricing

How much does a wedding suite cost?

As we tailor each collection to your needs using exclusive, handcrafted printing methods, we provide individual quotes for every project. Typically, our suites start in the low four-figure range. All stated prices are total prices and include the statutory VAT.

Why is the design work charged separately?

A significant amount of time and dedication goes into ensuring the premium quality of your stationery. To support our creative process and the expert printing involved, we work with a 50/50 payment plan: the first half is due before the design phase begins, and the remaining half is due prior to printing.

Legal Information & Copyright

Are we allowed to take the design and print it elsewhere?

No, that is strictly prohibited. All layouts remain our intellectual property, and the copyrights and usage rights are not transferred to the client. Our designs may not be duplicated or used for printing through third-party services.

What is your cancellation policy?

If we haven't started on the design yet, you will receive a full 100% refund. Once the creative work has begun, a refund is excluded due to the personalized nature of the production.

Shipping and Customs

How much are the shipping costs?

Within Germany, we ship your invitations free of charge as an insured parcel. For international shipping, we charge a flat fee as specified in your quote.

Please note: For deliveries outside the EU, customs duties or import taxes may apply, which are payable directly to your local authorities.
